The plant
Seventy mu of production, in Yunfu.
Guangdong Opaly New Material Technology Co., Ltd. — OPALY — operates a 1,000,000 m² a year quartz plant and an 800,000 m² a year solid surface plant in Guangdong. Every photograph on this page was taken on site.

The process
Six steps, all under one roof
Nothing is subcontracted. The aggregate comes in at one gate and the wrapped pallet leaves at the other.

Pressing
Vacuum, pressure, heat.
The mix is degassed under vacuum before it is pressed, which is what removes the air pockets that later become pinholes in a polished surface. Pressure and temperature are held through the cycle rather than ramped by eye.
After curing, slabs are calibrated to thickness and then polished on a continuous head line. This is also where shade is checked against the batch standard — a colour that drifts out of tolerance is caught here, not at the client's site.
Quality
Checked twice before it is packed
Thickness is measured across the slab, not at one point. Shade is compared against the retained batch standard under controlled light. Slabs outside tolerance are pulled and re-run rather than shipped and argued about.
If your project has a client-approved sample, send it to us before production. We keep it and match the batch to it — that is the single most effective way to avoid a shade dispute on arrival.
Colour development
A new colour starts in this room.
Every sample on those shelves was pressed here, not ordered in from a colour card. When a project needs a tone that is not in the range, the batch is mixed, pressed as a trial slab, polished and photographed — and you see the real thing before anything is quoted at volume.
That is also why we can work from your sample rather than ask you to pick from ours. Send a piece of stone, a photograph, or a swatch from another supplier and we will tell you honestly whether it can be matched, and how close it will get.

Two origins
Guangdong, and a second facility in Cambodia.
Our main plant is in Yunfu, Guangdong. We also operate a pressing facility in Cambodia under the same group — a real production line, not a relabelling operation.
For most buyers this changes nothing. For buyers whose market carries anti-dumping or safeguard measures on Chinese-origin engineered stone, it matters a great deal, and it is worth a conversation before you place the order. Tell us your destination country and we will tell you honestly which origin works and which does not.
We do not tranship, and we do not issue documents that do not describe what actually happened to the goods.
The company
National High-Tech Enterprise
Guangdong Opaly New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a National High-Tech Enterprise based in Dawan Industrial Park, Yunan County, Yunfu, Guangdong, China. Every day of the week there is a shift whose job is not to make slabs for an order but to make slabs for a test: a new tone, a new surface finish, a change to the mix.
That is what lets us take on a colour that is not in the catalogue. You send a photograph, a sample or a piece of stone; the batch is pressed, polished and put in front of you before anything is quoted at volume.
Alongside quartz, the plant produces solid surface material on three automatic casting lines — maximum cast width 1.52 m — and bathroom products including sinks and bathtubs.
