Logistics
20' GP loading
Quartz loads to weight before it loads to volume. These are the real figures for 3200 × 1600 mm slabs.
| Thickness | Slabs / 20' GP | Pallets | Coverage | Net weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 mm | 140 | 7 | ~717 m² | ~25.8 t |
| 20 mm | 105 | 7 | ~538 m² | ~25.8 t |
| 30 mm | 70 | 7 | ~358 m² | ~25.8 t |
Figures assume 3200 × 1600 mm slabs and a 25.8 tonne payload. Smaller formats carry fewer m² per container because of the pallet count — ask for a calculation for your format.
Ordering
Minimum order and packing
- Minimum order
- 100 m² per colour
- Packing
- Strong wooden pallet, ISPM 15 compliant
- Pallets
- 7 per 20' container
- Slab protection
- Interleaved, strapped to an A-frame

Mixing colours inside one container is normal practice — each colour still has to meet the 100 m² minimum. Send us your colour split and we will work out what fits within the 25.8 tonne payload and come back with the loading plan.
Wooden packing must be ISPM 15 treated to clear customs in most Gulf and Middle East ports. This is handled before the container leaves the plant.
Technical data
Full test data, for the colour you are specifying.
Water absorption, density, flexural and compressive strength, Mohs hardness, stain resistance and thermal behaviour are all covered by the batch test report.
We send the current report as a PDF against the specific colour and thickness you are buying, rather than publishing generic figures that may not match your batch. Ask for it in your first e-mail and it will come with the quotation.

After installation
Care and limits
Cleaning
Warm water and a mild detergent. No scouring powder, no bleach-based descaler left standing on the surface.
Heat
Quartz contains resin. Always use a trivet under hot pans — direct heat can leave a permanent mark.
Sunlight
Standard quartz is for interior use. Prolonged UV exposure can affect the resin — ask before specifying for an unshaded exterior.
